Thanks for doing this. Coming in at #10 shows how much progress Brevard has made the past 4 years, especially in the playoffs.
Shelby and Reidsville should be 1A 1B and the rest are listed as just chasers because let’s be real, they are there in the end every year.
I looked at burns they are losing a lot of the top statistical leaders. I know they return their good qb, but pinnix is a top 5 or 6 qb in N.C.
Several schools in this list have made a comeback like you mentioned with Brevard. N-C at one point was a household name that has found its way back to pre-season recognition. North Lincoln with Bazzle is becoming a scary team. Salisbury has coming back to life since the Joe Pinyan days. Burton again does what Burton does at Eastern Randolph.
Genuine question. Can the same not be be said about Reidsville, though? Long, Edwards, Canada, Hooper were all good players and major contributors.
The biggest loss out the ones you named was long.
Canada was in the dog house it seemed no reason why he didn't start both ways and should have gotten a scholarship somewhere. I've been saying I thought last years team might be better than this years, but my fellow Reidsville posters disagree, so idk.
But you bring up a good point. I approximate about 11 starters back with, Pass, Pinnix, Robinson, Rankin and harrison being the main contributors back. Pass and Pinnix are more heavily recruited Reidsville players in a while.
That’s what’s up. I was just asking, bro, and yes, Franky, Shelby lost a lot offensively. I just asked a legitimate question, not looking to argue anything. I’m hopeful and still optimistic that there will be a season.

Shelby has a lot of division one talent though. About 4 guys right? No, I knew you weren’t arguing. You made a good point. It be a miracle if there is a season.
Good coaches can make average teams playoff teams. Great coaches can make good teams championship contenders. It seems Shelby and Reidsville have great coaching as well as great players. It nearly impossible to beat a combination like that. Like everybody else I'd like to see those to face off on a yearly basis.
seems like the top 10 has a little western overload In my (biased but knowledgeable ) opinion, the DarkHorses should be rated higher than 4 of those teams, but if they get to play, they'll earn it themselves. Sadly I don't think there's going to be any fall season sports. They may go to school but no sports. I hope I'm wrong, but this virus is twice as bad in North Carolina than it was Memorial Day weekend. That's not progress.
testing more people Wiz...naturally the numbers will rise......this is just my 70 year old mind rambling....but to me approx. 1000 people in NC that are hospitalized with this stuff out of a population of TEN AND HALF MILLION people (NC) doesn't come close to a definition of a pandemic.....................sadly the panic porn pushers will probably get their way and there will be no or limited school, and no sports................
Look at Shelby. They lost all their offense. QB and all receivers. May be 1st time in a while they’re not sure who is what on offense.
But you gotta give Shelby their due. Their defense alone could keep them at number 1. I gave them a slight edge vs reidsville
Shelby's defense is going to be unreal and they have players waiting in the wings for their offense. I think their ground game could be a difference maker this year.
We will have a learning curve on the offensive side of the ball.. May take a lump or two along the way but we should be there late in the season again

I read it and it makes no mention of the QB from Rock Hill that was supposed to be transfering. If yall ended up with him, makes losing Bess not as big a blow
I don’t think it’s possible at this point for school to resume as “normal” in time. I seriously doubt that we will see any high school sports the rest of this year. Much less go as spectators to watch.

A well deserved ranking to start for the Eagles. We're 10 of 10 .....
. Not playing non-conference games will hurt us a lot. NE also would not benefit. WRH and Clinton have a little better conference to prepare for playoffs. I just want something this year. Draw straws for State Championship game would be ok at this point.How will the top 20 do now? Since the top Seniors will enroll early College classes. And will not play in the Spring. Any programs with tremendous talent of underclassmen might have shot at the Title this Spring?
Brevard could be the team to watch. They have a lot of underclassmen with alot of talent.
A question for Reidsville? Will Breon Pass and the Quarterback can't remember his name. Will they play football in the Spring? Or enroll in early College classes?

not sure how many colleges, if any, are gonna let people in the spring like that this year. Id guess the QB plays for sure, and I doubt Pass leaves his teammates in the dust.
Yeah, that doesn’t happen as often on the 2A level, but I would t think Jack Hollifield is a possibility. Size and grades will not be an issue with him, and I would think he’s someone who could play as a true freshman. I think he plays, but it’s going to be interesting to see what he does.
Yeah, it’s some guys that can do that on the 2a level. I’ve mostly seen 4a guys say it though. I think the wr from Kings mountain isn’t playing
Someone like Shelbyfan1 and SHSLION are more in the know, but the last that I heard and read was that he’s favoring Va Tech and Michigan. Va Tech, because of his brother, obviously. Michigan, because they plan to keep him at linebacker. He’s such a big guy, though, who will only get bigger. I see him putting his hand in the ground on the next level.

Yeah, Kobe Paysour is a bad boy. He has all the tools. Like Breon Pass, he has an extensive basketball background, too. Kids like them who excel at both sports are just some gifted athletes, period.
I agree. Bro, I'm thinking there will be no split playoffs if it happens to be a season and playoffs.
