I'm new to the area and a BIG high school basketball fan. From what I can tell the conference for the area I live in is the Big South 3A. I plan on attending a few games this year and I was curious about the local teams and their backgrounds, along with expectations. Could someone post their predictions for this coming season's final standings along with a quick run down of each program and what I should expect? What about their coaches, any legends or up and comers? Thanks for helping me prepare for this coming season's viewing!

So is the Big South a tough basketball conference? Seems fairly balanced. Sounds like Hunter Huss and Stuart Cramer are losing a lot. Can either of them surprise the conference and exceed expectations through coaching or young talent?

The top 4 are good teams.

Ashbrook and Hunter Huss have rich tradition in basketball in the big south.

Kings Mountain has had a really good past 5 years making it to the 3rd round 4 of the last 5 years and had about 6-7 kids go on to play college basketball.

Stuart Cramer is going to struggle. Their JV was 3-7. Not much talent

Hunter Huss is one of the most athletic teams in the state every year. They will be a hard out for anyone. Alway a tough team to beat.

Sounds like a top heavy league. I'll be interested to see how your predictions play out this season. Thanks for providing some info to help me get an idea of the basketball landscape. You certainly sound like a knowledgeable fan.

I love high school basketball. I think you will like the big south. There is some good basketball played in the area.
