Noah Turner and Chris Dunn. Well deserved. Love those 2 specialist.

Noah Turner. Wake Forrest commitment
Chris Dunn NC State commitment

There is no doubt Curry is an exceptional athlete. He deserves to be on that roster. But cannot help but think does it take a mountain coach to get one of our SMC talents on that roster? Or some serious pleading? Honestly I feel like we have had stand-out players who go off and play college ball. They go in and fight for playing time with talents from the across the state and nation when they get there. I know this game doesn't symbolize their talent but there is plenty of talented kids west of the Asheville area that want to show they can play with the big dogs. The SMC is regarded as one the strongest conferences in their classification. I know the kids want to show that toughness and grit to anyone willing to give them a chance.

Congrats to curry . Even with a mountain coach only two kids from Wnc. Not even the kid from Asheville who is going to northwestern

Leota did not attend the combine at AC Reynolds. Not sure if he was interested in participating. May be an early enrollee at Northwestern. If so, could cause conflict for final testing which is an issue some players run into.

(Note, you are not required to attend a combine to be selected but it shows an interest in being selected and allows the coaches to watch the player work and interact with the prospects.)

Gentry was also the head coach last year. He told me he was looking for the best players to do what they needed to win the game. Curry runs the offense every week for several years that they will have to learn in eight practices. That is a huge reason to have him. Sensible selection.

I’m also puzzled why Zamir White isn’t on the roster? That kid is a beast

Number 1 rated running back in this class. He opted out due to early enrollment at Univ of Georgia. Not unusual for early enrollee to not play as the practice week is the last full week of high school for the player with exams. Does not always logistically work out. He will probably play in one of the two premier national games as that is after Christmas after high school is over and before college semester starts.
