White opted out. He plans to be an early enrollee as a college freshman in January. Their exams and other school related items often conflict with the game. This has happened with several others over the last few years. Would expect him to play in one of the two national all star games as they occur after school is completed and before college starts back.

Have only met Noah a few times (Shrine bowl tryouts, etc), but I definitely agree with FBCapitolofNC and Sar1.....great young man. His dad is a really friendly dude too. Congrats to Noah and his family, as the father of a kicker, you guys do NOT get enough love or appreciation. Glad they recognized your ability and importance.

Looking forward to watching you in the Shrine Bowl and beyond @ WFU.

That's what my son does as well. I'm really glad they're getting some recognition. Noah is going to Wake. If the stars align, we're hoping my son will be playing next year as well

Seven undefeated teams in top 10 ... are there others?

Followup question: Did N.C. Preps originally have baker's dozen ranking?

Went to selecting a long snapper a few years ago after Matt Wogan (Porter Ridge and Oregon) botched a few due to the snap about five years ago. They always check to see what players have did holding duties, also. Had an issue of a few injuries about eight years ago and the replacements had never held for placements.

One coach several years ago said he would use "his" QB as the punter/kicker. Think they made it a hard rule after that for one specialist to be selected.

My son will be going to East Carolina in January as a Long snapper, good luck to your son this season and in the future.

Sar is your son the one that went to Jr College in GA? If so, we spoke at the specialist camp at ECU back in the summer

That's what I thought. You and spoke during the competition just before the rain and storms set in

Long snappers are the most underrated position on the team. Can win or lose a game in an instant.

All three of us handled the long snapping duties at Shelby.

The eldest of us long snapped for Notre Dame in 1975 with Joe Montana and Rudy.

Our cousin and nephew is the starting long snapper at Appalachian State. He won the job as a true freshman.

I'd say it runs in the family. :)

As a "kicker's dad", long snappers are so vital. Your sons deserve every bit of praise they can get, Lord knows the dont get enough. Same could be said of the holder.
