    2023 High School Softball Thread

In many of these cities softball is either a recreational sport with coach pitch until about 10-12 years old or doesn't exist at all. Softball is 90% pitching and catching. The city kids do not have the skills once they hit middle school to keep up with the county schools and travel ball kids...

    East Davidson Football HC

The Dogs are winning again and those five seasons are behind them and in the rear view mirror. Overall, the progress being made by Coach G and his staff are awesome and the Dogs will continue to win as a 1A school. During those five seasons they were playing in 2A ball with schools 850-1100...

NCHSAA classes released for the 2025-2026 season.

I know of a local charter that is already loaded up in most sports that is now advertising for and offering home school and online/virtual kids the opportunity to go to school online and be able to play sports at the charter. Just another way for them to get top talent from private, home school...

    2023 NCBCA All-District Teams Announced

POY and COY awards are very political and who is buddies with who in all sports. Some coaches really work hard to rally the votes for their own kid knowing they are not the best player in the league, district, tourney, etc.

Dominating performance in the finals. The 170 is a stud and does not look like any 9th grader I have ever seen. He can be a four timer!

    North Rowan Open

NR has had some very good coaches and always looks good on paper and getting off the bus. Hard to believe they haven't won a state football championship.

    Realignment

Once more charters become 3A/4A size and start beating up on those schools then they will vote. Charters need to go to their own division or be required to play up. They have been given a different set of rules to go by and it just makes no sense for a traditional public school to have to...

Veteran assistants make much more than that in lots of counties and cities. They are basically advertising for a retired coach.
