    D1 talent is rare on any team much less on a 1A team. The difference in every sport from 1A to 4A is huge but probably the largest in football.     The o-line is the issue. They have very good backs but couldn't get out of the backfield last year. Murphy's on-line should be better, I don't see Swain winning.

    It's not a simple matter. We had to get school board approval. A kid in HD district can come to Murphy to play football. I'm not sure on the going to HD and being on Murphy football team. Someone said it was a possibility but they weren't administrators so I really don't know. We didn't pursue that.

    That must have been me. I actually don't know. When my boys played initially it was mentioned about the possibility of going to HD and playing. I don't know if it's possible or if anyone ever has. My sons never went there except for my oldest spending a lot of time courting Haylie Shopes.

    Swain needs a lot better line play to be on top. I don't know if they will be able to compete upfront with Murphy or Robbinsville.

    Would have been very physical upfront both lines big and good. Tarboros team speed would be the difference. The score comparison doesn't work because of different circumstances. Mctaggart being out made a difference primarily defensively. Tarboro wins a good game. I'd say a couple scores

    I agree a lot of what ifs with them all. My son definitely would have been in another role. Probably DL and TE. He is as big and strong as any he just lost any desire to play and was at peace with it. He really turned things around academically and personally Proud of him.

    Would have been interesting to see what Murphy would have been like with a few who didn't play. Vining, Cruse, Clapsaddle, Blalock. They could have been even better
