    Harding needs to be in the top 5. That's a damn fine football team, and they've played a killer schedule to prove it. They probably have the best set of wins in the state, and a couple of those wins have been blowouts.

    My personal opinion is that Butler is not a top 10 team at the moment, but the problem isn't taking them out of the rankings, it's who replaces them? If your choice is between Butler and some no-name program who's never won anything, played anyone nor beaten anyone...then it doesn't make sense...

    25-0. South Pointe was up 13-0 at halftime, so both halves played out about the same.

    Defense hung in there pretty nicely the entire game, though. We knew going in that their offense was down this year compared to recent years, but overall it was still a decent effort against a really good team.

    Heck of an effort from Harding in the 1st half. Had a MC fan texting me that Harding has one of the biggest dlines he's ever seen. When MC fans are talking about your size, you're doing something right. If Harding continues on their current tragectory, they'll eventually learn how to win games...

    Hickory Ridge will be badly exposed soon enough (although the struggles against mediocre 3A teams should've already done it). They can duck and dodge competition OOC all they want, but the NCHSAA made sure that there's nowhere for Hickory Ridge to hide in-conference.

    None of Hickory Ridge's OOC opponents are 4A schools, and HR struggled in two of those games. All of which is totally inexcusable for a 4A school. Especially for one that wants to be taken seriously. Looks like they did manage to fool some people, though.

    Mallard Creek can name their number in the 2nd half. Harding is a nice early season story, but they don't have near enough size nor depth to bang with MC for 4 qtrs. Few teams do...and none do that only have 37 bodies on the roster.
