    Colby Putnam (Jr) committed to Gardner Webb a couple months back. That's really the only one I know. I'm sure there are others being recruited I just don't know specifics.

    Yea it definitely helps to save money. Long overdue project taking place at both schools. I hope over the next 4 months before the season starts up that both schools will be able to use it fully.

    Outscoring our opponents 179-19 on the year with 10 shutouts. Only 3 seniors on this year's team. JV team is 15-0 outscoring opponents 168-26. Fun times in Bulldog Country.

    Cherryville swept East Gaston this week (7-3 and 9-0). Looks like the weaker schedule was a big part. Although Cherryville typically is no slouch, they aren't as strong as year's past.

    Sure was. I'm not saying WL is a bad team. I think they are really good and can "compete" with anyone. They just don't match up well with teams like Shelby, Reidsville, Burns (not this year though). That style of play makes it hard to get out of the west.

    You can count on West Lincoln winning 8-10 games each year. They're just not going to have enough to make a deep run. I love Coach Ponder and I'm so glad that he's had success their.

    Shelby will be good again. I wouldn't count on Burns making a run this year. We'll have a question mark at QB for the first time in a long time. I'm thinking a 7 win season with a round or two in the playoffs.

    We're over halfway through the regular season. What is everyone seeing out of this year's 2A class? What does the East look like? Any contenders in the West we may not know about yet?

    It really is the best hire for you guys. Time after time, Crest has went out and tried to find the best coach available, only to seem him use Crest as a stepping stool for their own personal gain. Assuming there will be success, GL will retire as the Crest head coach. I doubt he leaves this job.
