    It is certainly unfortunate, but it happened. My understanding is that it was self-reported. I will give credit to Post 137 for reporting the ineligible player. Probably could have left player off roster, made an excuse for his absence and moved on.

    It appears that many of the 1A teams are inconsistent. Look like All-State one game and nowhere close the next. Appears some new teams to be heard from in the 1A West.

    It is all about geography, longitude. After 64 are picked listed in order of longitude from East to West. Then divided into 4 regions of 16 teams. Strictly by the longitudinal coordinate, no consideration for how many #1s end up in a single region.

    No call at all, which was determined by everyone watching to be "no swing". The pitch getting away and the runner coming to the plate in quick succession kept any opportunity for an appeal to the field ump to take place until after the play at the plate.
