    SM hasn't demonstrated the forward thinking to hire someone like Josh. They have some good athletes but lack the support from the likes of the booster club and overall fanbase of Jackson county. I would be stunned if he goes there. If i had to bet Coach Brooks winds up at Rabun County or Rabun Gap.

    The finals were the 30th anyway. Murphy is just hitting their stride even with a few starters out. This really should be another title game like last season. I am really happy to see Northside in the finals, but Murphy is a different deal.

    I seriously doubt the SMC will become a split conference with only one 2A team. That would give them a playoff berth every year. They would be a natural fit in the Mountain Six and be an immediate threat to win the MTN6 title.

    This is really a boon for NC prep football. Joining these two historically dominant sites only makes things better for everyone. I began with Arnold's magazine in '99 and all of this has only gotten better over time. This should be a huge deal for all NC football fans.
