Prayers for the family of one of Mount Airy's all time best Quarter Backs and great person. He Past Away This Week.He always had a friendly smile ...Seems like only a few years ago I was at every game he played as Mount Airy's quarter back. A Great Bear he was and coached by the great coach Hollingsworth !
He was the nephew of longtime Mount Airy News staffer Eleanor Powell I worked with her for 9 years and knew the family sense I was in my early teens as his Dad and Uncle and my Dad all had separate business on West Lebanon St. . His uncle was a photographer as was I . My heart goes out for the family. A loss for the family and town.
