Alright guys, I guess I'll get this started. Both teams are coming in undefeated with big wins over previously undefeated teams.

Dudley 46 - Crest 34
Hickory 28 - W. Henderson 16

I personally don't know much about Hickory so I will have to watch some film on them to gauge them, but I've watched Dudley pretty extensively and their most recent win over Crest.

Dudley's offense is so well balanced and disciplined. They're able to score quickly as well. Going against Crest high power offense, you start to see cracks, but they were able to hold them when it counted. Once I watch some Hickory film, I'll give my prediction but I'm rooting for the DBoyz for sure. 336!

When ESPN Sportscenter Top 10 shows a play from a high school, college DIII or similar off the national radar game, that's the claim they make. So I checked Sportscenter this a.m. to see if the Weddington catch in the end zone in the 4th(?) qtr. rightfully-so made it, but unless it was another edition it did not. A buzzer-beater in a low-level college game IIRC was #1, but the throw/catch from the championship last night was close to worthy of the #1 spot in my opinion.

Well, this is Shawn with the Grit and Grind, and I have to say that I was surprised and impressed by the Western football programs yesterday. I got to see the 3A, 4A, and 2A games live. Had to watch the 1A on tv since I had a prior engagement. These teams did exactly what their fan base told me they could do. I can’t wait for next season to start making some trips out West to see some of these teams.
