Am I disappointed, sure, but if I had told you that Crest would had the season they had before it started, how many would of believed? You pretty much lost your entire offense and were starting over with new coaches. Most felt like it would take a year for things to settle in. Despite that fact, Crest had some great wins and stood toe to toe with the defending state champs. Not to bad for a rebuilding year. I have no issue with the QB coming to the sidelines, he was still pretty new to the offense and the communication with his QB is important to Coach Lloyd. I was lucky enough to help serve the players and coaches breakfast Thursday morning. I must say it was very polite group of young men, but I told my wife, as we were standing there, this is just a group of kids that are playing a game. What right do we have as grown folks to ride them or the coaches, who dedicate so much time away from family for very little, like we do? I love the passion that we show in supporting our teams, but at times the other side of the coin just seems dirty. My wife had to move from her seat last night because of the filfth that some people were spewing at the coaches and players. No doubt the coaches will get together and look at the film. They will figure out what worked and what didn't and plan accordingly. The players will hit the weight room and focus on getting better. I am thankful that we have Coach Lloyd and Coach Toms home. I know we see the product on the field, but their impact off the field has been just as important. Again, a big congrats to Hickory. You have a special team. Some of the throw and catches were amazing even with good coverage and the defensive front getting after Stober. As always CHARGER PRIDE! Already looking forward to next year and the changes that are coming with the new realignment. On to hoops season. Coach Levine should have a pretty good squad again this year.
