What, if anything, did we learn in 1st round ?

That’s what’s supposed to happen when playing a team you’re far superior than also
Actually, the score was a side point. What I looked at, and was attempting to evaluate, was the actual play of Mt Airy, its execution, its players staying in their assigned lanes, etc.

One thing that Thomas Jefferson figured out was how to stop Mt Airy RBs from scoring every time they touched the ball: grab a face mask.
I am not saying this in an uncomplimentary way. They were able to tackle the runner, and trade a touchdown for a 15 yard penalty.

It was the only play they had and it worked pretty good.

Independence at Hough and Mallard Creek and Watauga are tough Second Round matchups for sure

Honestly, given the political makeup of watauga county, I doubt it'll happen, especially given the amount of money they approved for the current one. I do know some of the young folks on the western side of the county commute well over an hour each way. I feel like there should be a cap on drive time from a child's home to academic facility. Just my opinion but it is something county officials could mitigate.
Correct. It’s concerning to hear that some young people are spending over two hours each day just getting to and from school. This means less time for extracurricular activities, family, and homework. Implementing a cap on travel time could help alleviate some of these issues and allow students to focus more on their education if county officials buying into this idea.
