Cleveland County

Shelby stats against KM:
Passing 16-32, 251yds 2 tds and 2ints
Rushing: 28 carries for 124yds as a TEAM.
Shelby total yds: 375yds

Shelby had pass receptions for 42, 56, and 72yds. That means that 170yds of their 251yds came on three pass receptions. Shelby was 13-29 for 81yds without those three receptions.
Tate didn’t go over a hundred yards rushing until under 2mins in game and KM basically waving the white flag. Tate finished with 23 carries for 111yds. Almost half of those came after we turned it over on downs with a little over two minutes left in game. The last run put Tate over a hundred.
Shelby obviously has a talented offensive team and they are going to hit some plays on everybody. Shelby wasn’t just running or passing the ball at will on the KM defense for those acting like that. Context is always important.
Only context that matters is 32-16 BIG SHELBY

Cleveland County

Our TB looked the part last week, I just feel he needed more touches. However I also think we were seeing what our QB can do and we need to find a receiver who demands the ball. We will be fine in the long run, just not yet. Looking forward to seeing Shelby once again, always good to come to CC for football!
Saw your QB at a 7v7 at Crest and I thought he could make all the throws but he had some small WR to get used to..

N. Edgecombe (1A) vs SW Edgecombe

I agree. We played 1A Pamlico and it took us a good qtr before we really played good at all. I have no problem playing a smaller or even what some would consider inferior maybe to work the kinks out. We had some kids out and hope to have back this coming Friday for East Duplin. We also lost a couple that transferred and a couple that just quit school. It hurts. We are not a program that can afford to lose kids. Good luck on your season! I think you will/should be favored in conference again. Look forward to our game!
If the SW, WC game is as good as last year's, it will definitely be worth a ride to Vanceboro.

CVAC 2024 - Week 1 👀

Lol what’s there to be positive about a losing program in all sports except track and field basketball 😂. I know how things run at EB I was on both football and basketball teams. I have said positive things though about the “defense”. I’ll always support my Alma mater no matter what. But there really isn’t anything to be positive about the football program just saying if you don’t see that then you need to wake up. The coach does a great job with the kids and teaching them life lessons and stuff and to be a good Christian man. But his coaching style is not too great by no means. Run the ball on 3rd 10 run the ball on 3rd 15-20. These teams know what they are going to run by now it’s obvious. But again you can do much when you don’t have a passing QB. Nothing positive on offensive other than the 2 RBs that is it!!!!!! Defense could be good if they stay healthy. Will see in conference play.

EB is as good as they will get so you might want go pull for another team sounds like!! QB threw 18 times after the qb change so if you seen them run 3 and 10 we were not watching the same game!! Not going to waste my time comment's on anything you say!! Have a great day.

CVAC 2024 - Week 2 💯

How fun it is coming off a loss and picking the winners. It's almost as fun as me posting Lincolnton by 1...Here are mine:

Foard at Bandys: Always think the Trojans have potential, so I'll take them by 12.

St. Stephens at Bunker Hill: The Bears are defending champs in the CVAC until someone beats them. They were down to Freedom but didn't give up, only to come back and win.

Newton-Conover at Hickory: Last year's score was 56-36 Hickory. Looking at the stats (If they're correct) H-had 484 total yards to NC's 492, again, if that's correct...There is no way I can see the Red Devils or anyone else scoring so much against the Tornadoes this time, long time rivalry or not: Hickory by 24.

West Iredell at West Caldwell: The Warriors will definitely win, but it won't be the hapless warriors from West Caldwell, they might, though. West Iredell by 10.

Cherryville at West Lincoln: West Lincoln by 20...A long time ago I was at West game when they were playing the Ironmen, and, ah the h3!! with rest of the story.

East Burke at Freedom: I'll be pulling for the Cavaliers but after playing Bunker Hill close, the Patriots might have turned a corner: Freedom by 6...This is what they call Fat Friday, so there could be an upset.

Lincolnton at North Lincoln: Lincolnton by 1 Uhhhhh

So you are giving Herron a pass again this season
Always an excuse with KM
We been sleeping on KM for 101 years so I think that is warranted
HC is the HC for a reason. If he can’t get the assistant coaches on board then it falls on him to either get them on board or have them find another job.
Unless binky wants them to stay
We know yall roll in KM
They blamed it on the kids for not buying in last season 😂 which is very lame and weak excuse…

Page football

Why have they gone through so many coaches in a short amount of time? I realize there are numerous reasons why coaches move on. But the Page job is a good one, a 4A school with resources and in one of the larger cities in NC. Seems like a coach would want to stay there for the long term and build something.
We've talked about it ad nauseam on here, but the main jist of it is the standard is high at Page, the bar is very high. One of them wasn't a good fit, and the other was a great fit, but his staff was ambitious, if you will, and left Page and took other coaching jobs, so the lack of continuity ended up setting the program back. Also, after his son graduated, he decided to move on. The new coach is a great guy, we love his attitude and energy. As long as Coach Hann can keep the locker room together and show improvement, he might be the long term guy you're referring to. But, I agree.. it's a good job and the tradition, support, and resources are there. The school building itself is to be (2022 GC School bond) rebuilt sometime in the short term (2-4 years, my estimation), its sorely needed, it was bad 3 years ago, now its even worse.

West Forsyth 19 AC Reynolds 13

West Forsyth may have found their QB that has been missing for the last decade. Riley Horton is a transfer from Parkland and he's got speed, a nice arm and he's got great size. That 82 yard run showed his break-away speed,,, His family made the right move to get him behind that big West O-Line.
