Im not from the area. But is it a guy you really hoped got the job but didnt? Personal grip with the coach? The coach at Thomasville seems like a great guy. Just dont understand the unnecessary shots at him and his program. I know im alot younger than all you. But grow up and stand behind your program and coach. Get out your feelings

While Butler may be an upgrade in school/program its a definite downgrade in overall talent when compared to Chambers. Right now Indy, Hough, MP, WC, and MC have better talent than Butler IMHO.

My man, cut the crap. This team returned a lot from last season. The team last year beat a top 10 team in the country down in Georgia, beat weddington who won the state title, and beat down Indy by 2 TDs (a really good Indy team), and went 12-2 overall. Are you telling me they need Hollywood at RB and a top DE draft pick to win HS games???? I know it’s super early but it looks like they downgraded the entire defensive staff 🤷🏾‍♂️. I’ve asked on this board who the hell is this new DC and nobody can tell me 😂😂. He wasn’t even the DC when they won those 2 titles at chambers. Chambers was super talented but they had a lot of advantages like players coming from all over the city using different addresses that weren’t suppose to go there even since the Brand days. If they need superior talent than all their competition are they actually “coaches”? They have Lawrence who is better than any QB they had at chambers and they have a WR in currence that is almost unguardable in the slot. Also have some decent OL and a really good RB. I know Ferebee should get the offense rolling he got hired in May (very late) so it will take time. The defense looked soft and definitely out of position knowing good and well Rolesville can throw it, butler saw it last season.

Losing Stone for this current DC is one of the biggest downgrades I’ve ever seen when you could have kept stone potentially. Idk if he would’ve stayed as an assistant, but sheesh, this might be tough.

Not really. He has done this since 2002-2003 with himself and every kid he had. Son with basketball daughter with softball son with football. Himself with football. New coach does have a pedigree and championships to prove it. But he also lost that game against Rucker Hill last week not making a bad decision based on his teams in the past. Trying to run it up the middle on 4th and 2 with the team not built to do that

A lot of varsity players were at last nights JV game. They saw Mt Airy JV get dominated (despite the score being close) and pushed around. It would not surprise me if both they and the Coaches want to make a statement with game.

McMichael and the Bush I can't pick someone for because honestly both are in rough shape and it's hard to judge who's better out of the two, guess we will see tonight. As for Ashe and North Wilkes, Ashe's QB is hurt and no idea on his condition. They had to play their best WR in the 2nd half running QB keepers to close that game out. My soul says NW in an upset but again Ashe beat these guys every year on JV. I just didn't have enough to decide on someone there. MA and East will be a fun game, so will be EW and SC.
