East Rutherford scored with 2:24 left to take the lead over Reidsville 27-26, mishandled the PAT snap. Ran on every play but 1 that drive an incomplete pass.
# 39 didn’t seem to run as strong after he tweaked his ankle tonight. I think that played a big factor too. #3 I think tweaked his also. We had 2 kids that did too. Seems like we are bad on ankles when we play.
Poor performance from Murphy tonight, not sharp at all and penalties were an issue. I hope #35 is good to go next week, came back in on D but was clearly hobbled, 'Dogs can not afford to have him out or less than 100% on either side of the ball.
Hough is just flat out the most well rounded team in 4A. If they lose it’ll be because of the usual collapse they have but this team is different.
The difference in the game tonight was simply the trenches. After they settled in it was evident that Hough’s size was starting to wear on them and would eventually be the difference maker in the game. I think we see a Hough/Weddington Western Final.
Was 43-0 when I left. Lil piggies couldn't take the cold anymore. Could have mustered a few more minutes had it been a close game though lol. I never expected to stop WRH much, but I didn't think we'd stop ourselves. We spent more time inside their 30 than see did anywhere else, but pissed it away each and every time. The score is what it is, but I feel like it should have been closer. But oh well. I did get to meet Dog79. It was a pleasure. Good luck to y'all.
