@egfan I actually feel for you guys. I know that you were one of the GC programs that had an opportunity to hire a really good coach but passed on those coaches. I heard you guys had multiple great candidates apply for your position.
Maxpreps is showing Oak Grove / North Forsyth varsity on Thursday night @ 7. The forecast for Friday night doesn't look real bad, but several others are moving games up, too.
Yeah, back in my day, Forsyth Co. schools were divided up as K-4th grade, 5th and 6th grade, 7th and 8th grade, then high school. In the early/mid 80s when I was in 7th and 8th grade, Forsyth Co. had football at those schools. I wonder if no middle school football is common around the state or Forsyth is one of the few counties not to offer it?

I have never heard an explanation why it is not played. As far as I know, Pop Warner is the only way Forsyth Co. kids can play football until high school.

Raider fans indicated there was not a ton of talent coming into this year. So far they have played the same schedule as last year with marked improvement based on the scores.
Appears the new coach is doing better than the staff from last year. If this ends up working, you’ll have your coach for years to come. If not, well you’ll keep rolling the dice in an area that doesn’t have a lot of
opportunity to draw a coach and his family.
This game could be a trap game for my Cougars, but if we play to potential I'm going to say Heritage wins 44 to 21.
Our defence is playing really good giving up about 13 points a game. Keep that up and we'll win alot of games..
This game is as even a matchup I've seen any way you look at it, if you compare scores both, beat Mountain Heritage by less than 4 points, both blew Mitchell and Cherokee out by almost identical scores.
That’s cool you are expanding into different counties. I listened to the Clinton game the other night and they didn’t say anything about it. Of course the game was so bad doubt many were listening lol.

I'm surprised they haven't won at least one game so far. I know their defensive coordinator from last years state championship game team. Once the coaching staff left, a number of their good players jumped ship as well. It's a good program that will have to rebuild. Was told the atmosphere was good, just the players all came with that coaching staff. Hopefully they will get it turned around soon. See you blue guys out there Thursday night. Good luck.
My senior year in 2017 had one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced at any high school game. Rivalry been tame from a theatric standpoint since then.
You might’ve been too young to remember these games but the 2008 and 2009 games at Southwest in back to back years were some of the best environments I’ve seen. Both teams were state championship caliber teams.
We won’t talk about who won those games but I still remember the hit THSRudeboyz laid on the returner on the opening kickoff in 2009.
