CSD won’t be there toughest opponent lol. There is another team in that conference that’s better than CSD. When all teams on that list get to full strength and we’re in week 6-7, then we can look at their work. Bishop will be and should be full strength next Friday and unfortunately for mt airy they won’t get their center back but they’ll be ok.

Does’t matter what time of day it is; recruiting is very prevalent in high schools across this state, if you don’t believe it you need to take your blinders off. This is 2024, nit 1994,, Of the schools named above no one is even close to Northeastern this year.

You liked West Forsyth over weddington too! The offense is not as good this year but the starting RB has been out since 1st game. We’ll see how they shape up come playoff time.

I want to thank everyone for taking your time for helping out posting updates. Without your help this thread would not be possible. As it gets up in the soccer season we will be able to see more who the Standout teams that could make a good run in the playoffs.

Murphy has the offense to keep with with any 1A team. The defense is the question. I think their offensive skill players are as good as anyone

Agreed 100%. I'm a ew fan clearly, but I'll have to disagree with us being in top 5. We have some talent, but not the likes of ma, er, etc talent. That WC game is still making me scratch my head about how good this ew team can be. They was behind all game until late 3rd qtr i think. Proud of the way they got it together and fought for the W. Also, losing the fb to injury, one of the rbs was out with broken hand, had a freshman filling his spot. Also, big lineman been out all 4 games, all those supposed to be back after the bye. We could be a 2nd or 3rd round team if all is healthy and everyones clicking.

lol, I would say St. Paul's is probably the best team in Robeson Co. right now, but no one has really played anybody, lots of soft schedules it seems. We will find out a lot about how real Lumberton is tomorrow night with Cape Fear, and Swett will find out a little bit more with Gray's Creek. If L'ton can keep it respectable, then its a win for them, considering the last several years.

So being a Watauga graduate, and sitting through some extremely cold games in 07-08-09, when Watauga dang near went to state, the teams with a good depth chart don't really struggle in the cold. I do think passing teams seem to struggle more, as it is difficult to replicate throwing a football with a colder atmosphere. But normally a good defense and sold running game can typically withstand the elements. I do know opposing teams feel it though. One of the Guilford county teams came to Boone and it was absolutely dumping the snow, those boys looked like they were froze to death lol.

With that being said, greene is probably the best QB watauga has had in about twenty years. His QB coach was the last really good QB that Watauga had, so I think he's developing Maddox well. Really humble kid, my mom knows his parents. The one issue Watauga has is that it's a one high school county. Those teams coming from that environment have to be really special to go the distance, especially in a gauntlet like y'all said. The 4A West is just another monster in and of itself. Plus Watauga is super young this year. Lots of juniors and sophomores filling out the roster.

Cheerduck, The Hickory-East Lincoln game is already being talked up. More than likely there will be a big crowd. You probably have a season pass since you keep books for the Tornadoes, but you might should go early.

AMD, that's a great story. I especially liked the irony in it. As for me, I come from a long line of runners (Not exactly the track and field kind, if you get my drift). In spite of my old age, if the stimulus is right, I can make Forest Gump look like he's backing up. It's a mind over body thing.
