Warlick played QB not our JV QB. We were banged up for sure on offense but our defense wasn't a one man show either. They are very good. Shelby's QB is injured and RB also banged up? Shelby's QB is not very fast at all. That presents a problem for you guys. Once again, I would not be surprised if you guys pulled it off because it has happened time and time again but you will have your hands full more in this game than any you played this year.

Some of those throws he made were ridiculous against very good coverage. I don't think I've ever seen that level of precision from a high school QB ever. The velocity and ball placement were unreal, and several of the throws were on the run. What am I missing with this kid? Why doesn't he have P4 offers? Too small?

We traveled up to see this one after seeing Crest dismantle OG last week. We sat on the Crest side and pulled for the Chargers. Good bunch of folks.

Yes really man. One of your players literally tackled our guy out of bounds and wouldn't let go, they both ended up rolling almost to the track on our side, albeit wasn't even the dang ball carrier for crying out loud. As I said on my other post I don't agree with all unsportsmanlike crap that happened. Wanna bash them on unsportsmanlike take a look at yourself as well. Again had the officials intervened half the nonsense wouldn't have happened.

I predicted years ago when the A And AA were left behind, that we would see four different champions in 2a over this realignment. I simply want that prediction to hold true. It’s no great hatred I have for old gold/black. I just simply want to be right. At least once in my life.

We were tied with Shelby 14-14 at halftime and yall beat us 28-14. Monroe could have put up that in the first quarter on us had they not been penalized like they did. They had 3-4 TD's called back. They are one of the fastest teams I have ever seen. Their front 7 looked like they rushed 9 at times and it was tough to block all of them. We barely had any time to throw the ball and struggled to consistently run the ball. I read Shelby's QB has a broke foot. He will be in trouble if he cannot evade the rush. Upsets happen and Shelby may find a way to win but it is going to take Monroe making some mistakes to help that happen. The QB is like a high school version of Michael Vick. They scored on us in every way you can. Punt Return, KO return, Offense and Defense. You have your hands full but anything can happen.

Actually Atkins doesn't qualify and nor will the new 2nd Ward High when it opens in 2026. The names are of sentimental and historical value, but they don't or won't qualify as historically black high schools.

As for all the bashing EW players and coaches on here. Yes. There was numerous and I mean numerous unnecessary hits, shoves, ball throwing, etc by BOTH teams. Neither is worse than the other. Me personally blame the officials for letting plays drag out so long. Numerous times the whistle never even blew, the kids just got up and went on. When you have 2 teams who fight for every yard and to the whistle and then officials aren't going to stop the play after forward progress, then this is the kind of results you get, not to mention someone hurt. I'm usually not one to bash officials but this was piss poor officiating and I don't mean by calling bad penalties, I literally mean the lack of doing their job.

Again hats off to Heritage for the W. I agree with a Mitchell poster. Heritage doesn't have much size or anything fancy, they will just run right at you. EW didn't come to play and this is the result you get.

Good year for my Cards 10-3. Lose a few (Qb, wr) but the majority of the line and all of the backfield will be returning.

He’s a big boy. I’m sure it’s not fun trying to tackle him in 40 degree weather - with that said I think Tarboro should win this one by multiple scores but I don’t think Pender will be a pushover like the last two opponents.
