Not gonna lie..........I was very nervous that first quarter.

The "other" Wildcats jumped out to a 14-3 lead. It was quickly beginning to look like a carbon copy of the last time these two teams met. Once again, ER appeared jittery and anxious. Once again, Hannah Harrison was going off. Then....

.....a pattern began to emerge. Brecken Snotherly bucket. SD turnover. Brecken Snotherly goes to the foul line. SD bad shot. Rinse, repeat. ER went on around a 23-6 run and took a five point lead into the break.

Second half.......ER continues their outstanding defense, Snotherly is still doing Snotherly things, and SD completely goes off the rails. Final was 55-36.

ER, with the exception of the first quarter, did a marvelous job containing Harrison. Cats really made sure that she didn't get in a comfort zone. ER also did a much better job of limiting Carmen Duffy's impact on the inside. Having Logan Beaver this go-round made a significant difference.

Crowds were intense for this one. The SD fans were none too happy with the officiating. A lot of them thought that Snotherly was getting the "Jordan" treatment. SD coach got hit with a tech in the third. Man, was she ticked off. For a split second, I thought she was going to chase that one official around the court. We also had some ER and SD fans yelling at each other back and forth.

Anyhow.......the "Ramseur" Wildcats survive and entertain Rosman on Thursday.
