I'm not sure Rosman would travel to Hayesville again this season?....Think Hayesville plays the Tigers in Rosman, and Rosman travels to Andrews....Could be wrong, but that has been the recent SMC rotation schedule since the 1990's....Be interesting to open SMC play this season with Hayesville....Don't know if that has ever been the case before?.....Of course, I'm not sure that the Tigers have ever played Brevard other than opening week either, so there are definitely some major changes this year like closing the season at Murphy....Don't think that has ever happened before, but can't say for sure?....One thing for sure is that we have never played Swain and Murphy back-to-back before in SMC play......Thank goodness there's at least an OPEN date between the two games....

The non-conference schedule will likely be improved over last season, highlighted by a visit from the Mountain Heritage Cougars on September 11th....The Sophomore QB and head coach have the same last name and share the same household....It will be the 2nd time that Coach Joey Robinson will be coaching a talented young QB, while teaching him the ways of the world off the field as a Father....It will be a major challenge for the Tigers to stop this young phenom, but the Tigers should be loaded this year if all stay healthy....Great early season measuring stick for both teams..

Both Brevard and Madison will likely be improved with the Bluedevils returning to more of the power football game, but they will have a talented young signal-caller returning in Jr. QB Tanner Ellenberger....Rosman of course had never won 2 in a row before last year, and they have never won 3 in a row or twice at Brevard in the series dating back to 1975....Brevard will have a first opponent before they face the Tiger Flex-Bone,I-Bone or Wishbone attack....Will be interesting to see a first-ever matchup with South Carolina Independent Shannon Forest who have been around for quite some time, but don't know much about their football history....

And the defending state champs from Robbinsville make the trip to Tigertown for an early October meeting....Both teams could be unbeaten in conference play when the teams meet?

Looks like a challenging schedule, hope the Tigers can turn the corner this year in the SMC with a lot of Seniors returning...

Roar Tigers Roar!

Got Coach Whitman's info today and it says @ Hayesville.

Thanks Deana.....Guess when all the scheduling changes were voted in last year, it only made sense for them to split up the 2 Cherokee County Schools when playing Rosman in Football with one traveling and one hosting the Tigers every year during the regular season....Never minded a trip over to Hayesville....Good mountain folk, and a good rivalry for the Tigers thru the years.....

Rick....Andrews sent in that the Rosman-Andrews game was at Andrews. See if you can find out the truth.

Deana, I spoke with Coach Whitman over the weekend, and he said that the schedule that he sent to you is the one that was sent to him....

Obviously, those in charge of scheduling for the SMC have some explaining too do?

The 3 teams in question are Andrews, Hayesville and Rosman....The remaining 4 SMC schools do not seem to have any questions or conflict in regards to their schedule....

Rosman will host Andrews, Robbinsville and Swain County, and will travel to Cherokee, Hayesville and Murphy

Every SMC school should have a balanced schedule of 3 conference games at home, and 3 games away...

Thus, the 2nd game scheduled between Andrews and Hayesville, which is a conference game, should be played at Andrews in order to balance the SMC schedule, and give each SMC school 3 conference games at home with 3 on the road....

You will probably need to contact both Andrews and Hayesville to verify any changes?
