NC Public Education In A Crunch

I remember reading a little while back there was a 1 billion dollar short fall in the state budget. Someone even quoted that the proposed cuts for 14-15 would set back public schools 20+ years. Academics is where it all starts! I am seriously concerned about the path we are headed down. Not just for my community, but NC as a whole. How in the hell did it come too this??????

Ill look and see what I can find btango. I seen something about 360+ million in cuts on facebook yesterday which only made me curious to search the internet and see what I could find. I am aware of the situation in Stanly county so I'm thinking these massive cuts are related to that issue. I wonder what cuts Montgomery county schools will be seeing also. Sorry for the bad grammar btango lol. If you find something feel free to post it........
